No pain, no gain?

Hello friends,

Thank you so much for the warm welcome from all of you doggies.

I have made new lovely friends: Maggie, Girl Girl Hamster, Sparky and of course, adorable Snowy and Crystal and still keep counting.
I'm happy. I know now it is my smile that makes my Mom loves to click click her camera on me. I bet your parents love to click click too. I'll hide that camera someday!

Last week, without warning, my mom took me to the Vet having that you-know-what procedure done. Vet found out that I had umbilical hernia ( what that means?) too so 1 shot kills 2 birds: embarrassing neuter ( now I know what that means!) and painful umbilical hernia repair. Here I am in pain but still forcing a smile after being discharged from the Vet. By the way, my newly adopted brother Chubs the Pug had his neuter done the same day too.

My velvet hair got shaved for IV and Lab works in such an ugly way that I thought it was a chicken leg!

I tried to take care of myself by licking the incisions then guess what? Mom took me back to the Vet to have that lamp shade stuffed on my neck! She explained to me that thing would protect my incisions from being infected! I was not convinced at all!
Even worse, my brothers made fun of me!

I've tried to remove that stupid lamp shade for days until now, while posting my story, that shade is still in the way! What can I do? Help! Free me please! Mom?

But I'm happy and optimistic! Look at the bright side, at least they didn't make me wear this!

Or this!

Mango!

OMDogness, you're a BOY! Okay, sorry 'bout that... When I first visited your blog I got confused and somehow managed to think that you were a very pretty little girl dog. Man, that was embarrassing! But I know better now... Hee hee.

You have to wear a lampshade?! I hope it gets taken off soon! Those things are horrible... HOWEVER, they do come in handy when you want your food all to yourself. All you gotta do it put your head in your bowl and the lampshade goes around it, so no one else can get your food!

Awwee Poor little Mango - Don't worry though, you will soon feel better :)

When Crystal got spayed, her vet put a hospital GOWN on her - just like the one that you see in human hospitals except that it was made for doggies...that was cute and weird!!! At least the lamp shade wont cause your hair to matt. The hospital gown made C's hair matted

We did not know that you live with pugs. Do you?

We bet that you have a wonderful time playing around with them :)

Hi all,
Abby,
I did visit your blog and sang the birthday song to your mom. That lampshade was taken off me, what a pain in the neck! You had that surgery as well, I wonder what benefits we get from that?
Sparky,
Ah, you didn't notice that I wrote about me" i'm my mama's BOY...". Do I look girly to you? Thanks for your tip on how to get all the food with that lampshade.
Snowy& Crystal,
My hair matted around my neck. I wish I wore the hospital gown instead.
Yes, I have to share my parents with 2 other Pugs but that's OK, I know my mom loves me most.
Love y'all!

Hi, Mango...

I know what you mean about the leash...

Only thing is: One side of my yard doesn't have a fence & there are some really scary things back there...One is a big cliff...

My Dad is gonna put a fence up on that side of the yard real soon so I can run free...

When he does, I'll show you how I can run really fast...

Thanks for the suggestion, maybe it will make my Mom & Dad hurry up with the fence...

Hi Girl Girl,
Thanks for comforting me, my hair is growing out now, keep watching!
Snowy and Crystal,
I will play that tag game as soon as I get the keyboard back.
Bwth dog house,
You were lucky that they didn't put that lampshade on you. My mom was so overreactive and overprotective!
Abby,
I can't wait to see you run really fast after you have the fence put up!
Wilmahah,
Have you ever wore that lampshade, satelline dish, cone head, what ever it is?
